"Nox caelo" lunula necklace
This lunula necklace "night sky", which symbolizes the starry sky with its silvery pearls, is based on the Roman jewelry of the 2nd century AD.
The necklace is made with silver-colored wax pearls, the center piece a silvery crescent moon (lunula). The delicate, typically Roman S-clasp holds the necklace securely and firmly.
Among the many forms of lucky charms and amulets in Roman times, crescent-shaped ornaments are particularly common.
Roman women wore Luna pendants in honor of the Roman goddess of the moon of the same name.
