They're Roman in style  wrapped on gold-plated wire and hooked into the gold earring.

This type of earrings is typical in the Roman Empire from the early 1st century BC. Chr.

In Pompeii  and in the Pompeian villas (e.g. in Villa Oplontis) there are several  found these wonderful pieces of jewelry.

    Earrings and winding wire and small parts: gold-plated brass (free of nickel and cadmium!)

    real  Freshwater pearls and semi-precious stone carnelian pearls (undyed!)
